McAllen, TX, January 25, 2018 – MDC, formerly MDC Data Centers, the most important colocation provider on the border, today announced that Cloudflare, the leading Internet performance and security company, has chosen the company to support its expansion strategy into the Mexico market. MDC connects all the major Mexican networks in three carrier-neutral facilities on the along the border.

Cloudflare speeds up and protects millions of websites, APIs, SaaS services, and other properties connected to the Internet through its global network and managed services. With its deployment into MDC the company grows its network to 120 cities across 58 countries worldwide.

This announcement follows MDC’s recent partnership with Asteroid, the interconnection platform innovator, to build the IXP following the best practices in the industry. The company aims to create more peering opportunities on the border by providing enhanced connectivity solutions in their carrier-neutral facilities in McAllen, Laredo, and El Paso.
